April 2, 1983 - 37 Years Ago Today: Duran Duran had the Hot Shot Debut at No. 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with their single, "Rio." This was the British synth-pop band's 2nd entry on the Hot 100 following their breakthrough smash hit, "Hungry Like The Wolf" which peaked at No. 3 one week prior. "Rio" wasn't as big of a success missing the Top Ten and peaking at No. 14 on May 14, 1983. However, they followed it up with Ten Top Tens, 5 which were consecutive, and they totaled 21 singles on the Hot 100 between 1982-97 with one additional single when they reunited in 2004. Within those 22 singles, 15 went Top 40, 11 were Top Tens and 2 went to No. 1. All members of Duran Duran were credited for writing the song.  Please click the following link to view the accompanying video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTizYn3-QN0
